Hamilton House is flexible in this matter, and we try and meet our clients’ needs at all time, but we do ultimately have limits on how much work we can do within a month.
One area in particular that has a set of general rules is the number of emails that can be sent out as one of the monthly events. Our approach works like this:
- Generic emailing – a mailing of around 5000 schools will count as one activity
- Personal emailing – a mailing of around 2000 teachers will count as one activity
- Subscription emailing – a mailing of around 1000 teachers will count as one activity.
These numbers are of course approximate. You might find that with one or two personal lists you are getting perhaps 3000 teachers – but then when we have researched some more data and taken our database up to 4000 we might well split the list in half, which means you’ll get 2000 from that list for the next mailing.
With primary schools, because response rates are often lower, we do try and give larger numbers where we can, but it does very much depend on the research that has been undertaken.
Throughout however you should find that you are paying only 40% of the amount you would pay if you were buying the emails individually.
Finally on this topic, there is also the issue of the writing of the emails. If you are writing the emails yourself then you can undertake four email campaigns in a month – but if we are writing them, then the number is three.
